Assets Panel:

Rename selected asset: return

Properties:

Reset a parameter to its default: Alt-click (Option-click) the parameter's name

Node Graph:

Insert Dot node during edge drag: D Solo focused node to Output (toggle — press again to restore the prior connection): O

Note: O is the circle/ellipse shelf tool everywhere except the Node Graph, where it solos the focused node to the Output node instead.

Fit (F):

Press F to fit the panel under the cursor (falling back to the active panel):

  • Viewer — fit the canvas to the frame (same as the "Fit" zoom control)
  • Node Graph — frame all nodes
  • Timeline Graph Editor — fit the visible keyframes in both the time and value axes

F always fits "what you're pointing at," so the same key does the right thing in each panel.

Canvas navigation — Viewer & Node Graph (mouse and trackpad):

Zoom (mouse): scroll wheel Zoom (explicit, mouse or trackpad): Cmd+wheel (Ctrl+wheel on Windows / Linux) Zoom (trackpad): pinch Pan (trackpad): two-finger swipe Pan (mouse): middle-mouse drag

Note: zooming is cursor-centered. A plain mouse scroll wheel always zooms (its speed is unchanged); only a trackpad two-finger swipe pans. Touch-surface mice (Apple Magic Mouse, free-spin scroll wheels) are detected as a trackpad, so a swipe on those pans rather than zooms — hold Cmd/Ctrl to zoom with them.

In the Timeline's Keys and Graph views the same split applies, but a trackpad swipe slides the timeline (and pans the value axis in the Graph Editor) while pinch zooms the time axis. See docs/editor/canvas-navigation.md.

Global:

Maximize / restore the panel under the cursor (full-view toggle): ` (backtick) Composition settings: Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows / Linux) Step playhead back one frame: Page Up Step playhead forward one frame: Page Down

Note: ` fills the panel you're hovering to the whole dock area (the top toolbar and status console stay visible) and presses again to restore. Especially handy for the node graph.

Timeline (when the timeline panel is focused):

Zoom in: + or = Zoom out: - Set work area (preview range) start to playhead: B Set work area (preview range) end to playhead: N Slide active layer's in-point to playhead (preserve duration, move keyframes): [ Slide active layer's out-point to playhead (preserve duration, move keyframes): ] Trim layer's in-point to playhead (change duration, keyframes stay): Alt+[ Trim layer's out-point to playhead (change duration, keyframes stay): Alt+]

Note: in the Dope Sheet / Graph Editor with keyframes selected, B sets the selected keyframes to Bezier (H/L/S/B = Hold/Linear/Smooth/Bezier). With no keyframes selected, B sets the work area start.
